DOUBLE TROUBLE CAL 2017

We chose the name Double Trouble for a reason….. we have come up with a blanket that can cause a double amount of problems, but also a double dose of (crochet) fun.

Double Trouble – two techniques: ordinary crochet and Tunisian crochet. This blanket contains 7 Tunisian crochet patterns, so that anyone who has never crocheted Tunisian before, can now get acquainted with them.

We crocheted this blanket with mainly 1 size crochet hook 4 mm/G. Depending on your hand of crochet, choose the crochet hook that you feel most comfortable with. Some parts may require you (depending on your hand of crochet) to need a half size larger or smaller. For the Tunisian parts we used a Tunisian crochet hook 5 mm/H with a cord of (minimum) 80 cm.

We crocheted the Double Trouble Crochet ALong 2017 with Merino extra fine 120 from SMC (Schachenmayr) 120 meters per skein. This is a 100% merino wool yarn. Look for the quantities per color in the Miscellaneous Remarks of this project. In total there is about 5200 meters of yarn in the afghan. One afghan uses 1 skein more, the difference is in the edge.

Our blankets have become 185 cm x 130 cm.
